011. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing elektronskins.com, creating an order, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the site or place an order.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract to buy from us.
022. Who we are
ElektronSkins is a trading name of Tires FX Inc, a company operating from Rolling Meadows, Illinois, USA. We design and sell precision-cut vinyl skins (decals) and custom-printed, made-to-order designs for electronic music gear, including devices such as the Akai MPC and Elektron Tonverk and Digitakt.
You can reach us any time at elektronskins@gmail.com. In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Tires FX Inc, trading as ElektronSkins; "you" and "your" mean the person browsing the site or placing an order.
033. Our products
Everything we sell is a physical good that is made to order for a specific device. We do not hold finished stock — each skin is cut or printed for you after you order.
We work hard to show our products accurately, but colors and finishes can vary slightly depending on your screen and on production runs. Product images are representative, not an exact color match.
Our vinyl is designed to be removable without leaving residue when applied and removed as directed. Correct application is your responsibility; we provide guidance but cannot guarantee results on damaged, dirty, or non-standard surfaces.
044. Ordering and the contract of sale
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the product(s) in your cart at the prices shown. Your order is accepted, and a contract of sale is formed, only when we send you an order confirmation or begin production — not when you click "pay" and not when you receive an automated acknowledgement.
We may decline or cancel an order before it ships, for reasons including but not limited to: the item or device is unavailable, we cannot verify your details, a pricing or description error, suspected fraud, or a request that violates these Terms. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
Please double-check your device model, selected design, options, and shipping address before you check out. Because items are made to order, we may be unable to change an order once production has started.
055. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in US Dollars (USD) and, unless stated otherwise at checkout, exclude any taxes or duties that may apply. Prices can change at any time, but changes will not affect an order we have already accepted.
Payments are processed by Stripe using Stripe-hosted checkout. Your full card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and never touch our servers. By paying, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method.
If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back, we may cancel the related order or withhold shipment until the matter is resolved.
066. Discount and promotion codes
From time to time we offer discount or promotion codes. Each code is subject to its own terms — for example an expiry date, a minimum order, eligible products, or a usage limit.
Unless a code's terms expressly say otherwise: codes cannot be combined with any other code or offer, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be withdrawn or changed at any time. We may refuse or reverse a discount that was applied in error or through misuse.
077. Shipping and delivery
We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is coming soon but is not offered yet — please do not place an order for delivery outside the US.
US shipping is free. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days, with delivery usually arriving about 3–5 business days after dispatch. These are estimates, not guarantees, and carrier delays are outside our control.
Risk of loss passes to you once we hand the order to the carrier. If a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us at elektronskins@gmail.com and we will work with you to make it right.
088. Fit & defect guarantee and returns
Every skin is made to order for a specific device, so we do not accept change-of-mind returns once a made-to-order item has been produced or applied.
What we do stand behind is fit and quality. Our 30-day fit & defect guarantee covers you if a skin arrives with a print defect or a misaligned cutout for the device it was made for — we will send a free replacement.
This section is a summary. Full details, timeframes, and how to make a claim are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Where the two differ on the mechanics of a refund or replacement, the Refund Policy governs.
099. Custom orders and uploaded artwork
For custom-printed designs, you may upload your own artwork or files. By uploading, you confirm that you own the artwork or have all rights and permissions needed to have it printed, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
You grant us a limited license to use your uploaded files solely to produce, ship, and support your order.
We may decline or cancel any custom order — before or during production — if the content appears to be unlawful, infringing, hateful, or otherwise unacceptable to us, at our reasonable discretion. If we decline before producing your item, we will refund you in full.
You are responsible for the content you submit, and you agree to cover us for any third-party claim that arises from artwork you provided.
1010. Intellectual property
All designs, artwork, product templates, text, graphics, logos, and other content on elektronskins.com are owned by ElektronSkins or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The exception is artwork you supply for a custom order, which remains yours.
Device names and brands such as Akai, MPC, Elektron, Tonverk, and Digitakt are the trademarks of their respective owners. We reference them only to describe which device a skin fits. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those manufacturers.
You may not copy, reproduce, resell, or create derivative products from our designs or site content without our written permission.
1111. Acceptable use
When you use the site, you agree not to:
- Break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Upload artwork or content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the rights to use.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its accounts, or its systems, or interfere with their normal operation.
- Introduce malware, scrape the site at scale, or use automated tools to place fraudulent or abusive orders.
- Misuse discount codes, our contact form, or our custom-order tools.
1212. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Beyond the fit & defect guarantee described above and any rights you have under law that cannot be waived, our products and the site are provided "as is" and "as available", without other warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that the site will always be available, error-free, or secure, or that a skin will suit every use case or surface condition.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ElektronSkins will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your purchase.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
1313. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from your order are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois for any dispute that is not resolved informally.
1414. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date below. Changes apply to orders placed after the new version takes effect; the version in force when you placed an order governs that order.
Please review these Terms whenever you shop with us. Continuing to use the site or placing a new order after an update means you accept the current Terms.
